Fees & Financial Support

Understanding costs shouldn’t be complicated.

LEAP works to make services and supports as accessible as possible for families.

Were here to help you navigate the costs

How a LEAP service is funded depends on the service itself and your family’s individual circumstances.

Some services can be billed directly through funding agreements, while others may be covered by health benefits or paid privately. If cost is creating a barrier for your family, financial support may also be available.

Not sure what applies to you? That’s okay. Our team can help you understand your options.

How services are paid for
FSCD Funding
Direct billing for eligible services

FSCD-supported services, including respite, may be billed directly by LEAP when direct billing is included in the family’s FSCD agreement.

PUF & Contracted Services
Working with your child’s school

Eligible contracted PUF services are billed directly to the school where the child is registered.

Health Benefits

Check your coverage

Some specialized services may be eligible for reimbursement through private or employer health benefit plans.

Families are encouraged to contact their insurance provider to determine what services and practitioners are covered under their plan.

Private Pay
Paying for services directly

When a service isn’t covered through a funding agreement or insurance, private-pay options may be available.

Fees depend on the service being provided. Contact LEAP for current rates and information about available options.

Not sure what your child needs?

Start with a conversation

Thanks to support from the Weyerhaeuser Community Giving Grant, LEAP currently offers an initial complimentary consultation with an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

The initial consultation can help families discuss their concerns, explore potential supports and determine whether additional services may be appropriate.

Financial Support

Cost shouldn’t stand between a child and the support they need.

LEAP recognizes that the cost of services, assessments and equipment can create barriers for families.

Financial assistance may be available to help eligible families access:

  • Respite services
  • Specialized assessments
  • Therapy services
  • Specialized equipment

Families experiencing financial barriers are encouraged to contact the LEAP Society to learn more about available assistance and the application process.
